About The Position

UHS operates a vast network of acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, and other healthcare services across the U.S., Puerto Rico, and the UK. This specific role is for a Controller at Texoma Medical Center (TMC) in Denison, TX. TMC is an acute care hospital serving the Texoma region, offering advanced specialty services including open heart and neurosurgery. The Controller will support the market by overseeing the finance department, including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Decision Support. This role involves ensuring proper financial management of hospital resources in compliance with corporate and hospital policies. Additionally, the Controller will participate in and potentially oversee aspects of the Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain, including Business Office, Care Management, Health Information Management, Clinical Documentation Improvement, and Materials Management/Supply Chain.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience coordinating and/or supervising acute care hospital/medical center finance staff including: Accounts Payable, Decision Support, General Ledger and Payroll
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Computer hardware/software skills required.
• Completion of training programs, as required.

Nice To Haves

• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight of the finance department including General Ledger, Payroll, Account's Payable and Decision Support staff.
• Interact with all Hospital departments ensuring proper utilization and accounting of Hospital capital and operating resources in accordance with Corporate and Hospital financial policies and procedures.
• Active participation and possible oversight for different components of the Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain within the organization including: Business Office, Care Management, Health Information Management, Clinical Documentation Improvement, and Materials Management/Supply Chain.
