Requirements

  • B.A. or B. Comm. degree
  • Professional designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • 10+ years' related experience.
  • Experience managing, motivating and mentoring accounting teams
  • Knowledgeable about financial software and experience with implementing and optimizing ERP systems and other accounting tools
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and to manage multiple assignments with challenging/conflicting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, customer and quality focused.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial statements across all the company’s subsidiaries.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the general ledger teams to deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes.
  • Continually enhance the use of the company’s ERP and integrate with other systems e.g. HRIS/payroll, site payment and other tools in use across the company.
  • Enhance documentation of finance policies, procedures and internal controls and ensure compliance.
  • Provide any required research and analysis into accounting issues and stay informed of changing accounting rules and their impact on the company’s accounting policies.
  • Monitor global cash flow, manage transfer pricing and intercompany transactions, and oversee foreign currency hedging.
  • Work with external auditor to deliver annual audited financial statements
  • Coordinate with tax advisors internationally to ensure tax returns and other regulatory filings are completed on schedule.
  • Manage, coach and mentor the accounting team to deliver on department goals and objectives.
