A Controller operates and controls remote pipeline systems through a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system in the Remote-Operations Control Center. Controllers work a 12-hour Modified DuPont rotating shift schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays. As a DOT safety-sensitive position, operating pipeline systems requires skill, dedication, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Controllers must successfully complete a rigorous training program that includes extensive hands-on experience, guided by an assigned Controller Trainer and a Console Supervisor. The Controller will train on the position of Controller through a progressive training curriculum that includes normal daylight hours and the rotating shift schedule. The Pipeline Control Center strives to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Phillips 66 pipelines from coast to coast. The Remote-Operations Control Center is currently based in Bartlesville, OK. The Center will be relocated to Tulsa; Oklahoma’s east side at Corporate Woods in the fall of 2026.
