We have extensive experience working with contractors to provide supplies, materials and equipment required to keep a job on schedule and on budget. We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee a growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline our budgeting, manage day-to-day accounting functions and staff, and financial reporting processes.The Controller will also develop and produce financial status reports for senior managers to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred
  • 8 + years of professional accounting experience; preferably in equipment rental, industrial, manufacturing, or building material distribution environments.
  • Prior Controller experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial data analysis.
  • Exemplary history of financial management.
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
  • Identify and communicate areas of financial risk.
  • Establish, in coordination with company leadership, financial and operating benchmarks, annual business plan, quarterly projections, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Implement and manage consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across accounting team.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Oversee, supervise, manage, and mentor accounting team with leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
  • Coordinate collection efforts of accounts receivable.
  • Manage ERP software system, including process improvements, system maintenance and all relevant processing.
