Under the general supervision of the Central Supply Equipment Tech Supervisor, the central supply equipment technician is responsible for the proper storage and distribution of patient care equipment used by departments, clinics, and nursing units throughout the Facility. This role requires adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines, including maintaining utmost confidentiality. The technician will utilize the MMIS system for data management and tracking, ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained, and manage rental and consignment inventory. Responsibilities also include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, maintaining par levels on clinical units, restocking crash carts, assisting with supply distribution, locating lost equipment, and collaborating with equipment representatives.
