Under the supervision of Brown University Health Supply Chain Operations Leadership, Central Supply Technicians provide high-level customer service and operational support to the caregivers and departments Supply Chain supports across all Brown University Health facilities. They maintain quality assurance and practice standards, recognize and refer problems, and ensure the uninterrupted supply of equipment and supplies. This role involves various duties related to equipment, kit, and cart management, as well as supply management including organizing, ordering, delivery, picking, packaging, put away, inspection, and receiving. Central Supply Technicians are also responsible for responding to STAT calls and emergent codes, managing inventory, setting up specific medical kits and trays, maintaining machines, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, implementing inventory management processes, ordering supplies, operationalizing product recall processes, and assisting with receiving and putting away materials. They may also interact with suppliers, answer phones, conduct audits, and provide functional guidance to new employees.
