About The Position
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus, but not required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance
- Experience managing audits and interacting with external auditors
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis
- Manage and coordinate external audits, serving as primary liaison with auditors
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function
- Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis and strategic guidance
