About The Position

Seeking a seasoned Controller to lead global accounting operations for a well-established, mission-driven organization with an international footprint. This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with the CFO to strengthen financial operations, modernize systems, and support a growing global organization. In this role, you will: Oversee global accounting operations including month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll oversight, grants accounting, and audit coordination Ensure accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls across a multi-entity environment Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership to provide financial insights, operational support, and strategic guidance Lead improvements to financial systems, including continued development and optimization of the ERP platform Coordinate annual financial statement audits and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors Oversee grant and program accounting to ensure expenditures align with funding requirements and program budgets Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and financial processes across the organization Manage and mentor accounting and finance staff while helping build scalable systems and processes

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Controller or Assistant Controller experience preferred
  • Nonprofit accounting experience, including grants accounting
  • Experience managing financial statement audits and working with external auditors
  • NetSuite or Intacct or comparable ERP experience
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and support global or multi-entity operations
  • Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative, mission-driven environments

Responsibilities
