About The Position

Power Drives, Inc. is a Buffalo‑based manufacturer specializing in custom‑engineered hose, tube, and fluid conveyance systems for a wide range of industrial and mobile equipment applications. Founded in 1946, PDI is known for delivering high‑quality, reliable solutions backed by strong engineering expertise and decades of industry experience. Objective: Manage and improve the organizations financial reporting and accounting operations. This role is 100% onsite

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Master’s degree preferred
10+ Experience in a management position; manufacturing experience required
Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting
Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate
Ability to solve problems
Strong leader with excellent communications skills with the ability to manage and motivate their team
Ability and desire to flex from big picture strategic thinking to rolling up the sleeves and getting things done

Responsibilities

Provides leadership to the Accounting Department.
Provides direction of all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, credit, insurance, compliance, reporting and information technology.
Develops and enforces the company’s financial policies, systems, and controls in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Manage and oversee ERP system.
Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
Manages all audits, ensuring excellent and timely results.
Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs and gain efficiency.
Manage inventory and cost accounting for manufacturing operations.
Streamline accounting functions and operations.
Collaborate with the VP of Finance and Operations in managing the relationships with PDI’s banking partners.
