FordChicago Heights, IL
$115,500 - $218,100Onsite

About The Position

At Ford’s Chicago Stamping Plant, we don't just bend steel—we build the backbone of American transportation. Our facility stamps the high-quality sheet metal for the Ford Explorer and the Ford Transit, two of the most iconic and successful vehicles in the Ford portfolio. Finance strategically partners with operations to drive outstanding business results and enhance Ford’s industry leadership. When you join us, you’ll be able to contribute financial expertise that impacts all areas of our company, including planning, manufacturing, marketing and global distribution. We are seeking a high-energy, visionary Plant Controller to lead a dynamic finance team and serve as the primary financial co-pilot to our plant leadership. This is not a "behind-the-desk" accounting role. We want a dynamic business partner and change agent who can translate complex financial data into real-time operational strategies, influence key decision-makers, and champion a culture of continuous improvement. If you are passionate about modernizing finance, leveraging cutting-edge data tools, and driving profitability on a massive scale, we want to hear from you.

  • 5+ years of Experience as a Controller.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical ability, high attention to detail, and a proven track record of data-driven decision-making.
  • A self-starter and quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with modern system tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, PowerApps, Python, or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, deployment, and management of the plant’s budget, monthly forecasts, and close processes, ensuring robust internal controls are seamlessly maintained.
  • Build compelling business cases to uncover cost-saving opportunities and design actionable cost roadmaps that aggressively eliminate operational waste.
  • Actively pursue cost recoveries from suppliers to mitigate financial impacts from part shortages and incoming quality issues.
  • Discover, champion, and implement modern data tools and technologies to streamline workflows and modernize the finance function.

  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more.
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more.
