About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Controller to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will partner with management to define and execute our global Finance and Accounting strategic plan, ensuring the maximization of our financial performance. You will oversee financial reporting, budgets, and internal processes, while leading the accounting department to provide actionable managerial accounting information.

Requirements

  • Significant experience and knowledge in project accounting, especially in the percentage-of-completion method.
  • Experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (Pivot table, VLOOKUP, SumIFS).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Global Shop.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace or defense sectors preferred.
  • CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Experience with capital investment analysis, bid evaluation, proposal costing, and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of ERP optimization.
  • Experience with POC contract accounting, cost accounting regulations, and associated bid and audit experience.
  • Familiarity with inventory audits for materials and tracking hours.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to define the global Finance and Accounting strategic plan.
  • Oversee execution of the strategic plan and manage financial reporting, budgets, and internal processes.
  • Lead the accounting department and advise management on utilizing managerial accounting information.
  • Manage all accounting operations, monitoring costs and capital expenditures.
  • Direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure timely and complete financial statements and oversee the preparation of the corporate annual report.
  • Accurately report financial results according to GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting business activity and financial position.
  • Provide financial analyses, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Gather and analyze data to inform commercial pricing decisions.
  • Lead and direct work for a team of employees as defined by business needs.
  • Manage staff selection, performance, development, and training processes.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
