  • Hands-on treasury and cash management experience — daily cash positioning, payment prioritization, and liquidity reporting
  • Strong GAAP knowledge, including comfort with lease accounting (ASC 842), revenue recognition, and multi-entity consolidation standards
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online at an enterprise level or comparable accounting platforms (Intacct, NetSuite, Xero)
  • Experience managing and developing accounting staff
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building accounting functions from early-stage or post-restructure environments
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)

Responsibilities

  • Own the full monthly close cycle across a complex multi-entity portfolio, including building and maintaining the close calendar, assigning tasks, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and driving the close timeline.
  • Manage intercompany eliminations, entity-level reporting, and ensure consolidation accuracy.
  • Manage the company’s cash position across all entities, including daily cash positioning, payment prioritization, bank account management, and weekly cash reporting.
  • Work with executive leadership and external advisors on cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and debt service management.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable workflows, including management of an offshore AP processing team, and build controls around invoice intake, coding, approval routing, and payment execution.
  • Establish billing processes for a growing real estate and services portfolio.
  • Ensure revenue reconciliation between POS data, bank deposits, and the general ledger.
  • Design and implement the internal control environment, including segregation of duties, approval authorities, documentation standards, and accounting policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure the organization is audit-ready.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all core accounting processes within the first six months.
  • Directly manage multiple staff accountants and an offshore processing team, responsible for their work quality, professional development, and task assignment.
  • Identify additional hiring needs and onboard new team members as the department grows.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for lenders and ownership, including covenant compliance calculations.
  • Partner with the external advisory team during the transition period and eventually own the financial reporting and lender compliance process.
