About The Position

Lynkwell, a Nayax Company (NYAX) is a publicly traded, fast-growing EV charging company headquartered in Schenectady, NY — and we're looking for a Controller who thrives in a high-energy environment and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. This is a high-visibility, in-office role where you'll own the financial accounting function end-to-end, partner directly with senior leadership, and play a key role in shaping the finance infrastructure of a company on the move. Requirements

  • BA in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA a plus
  • 7-10 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
  • Experience in team management (1-2 employees)
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable information
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level management
  • Experience of working in a global company and with multiple players
  • Knowledge of financial reporting tools and ERP (Netsuite a big plus)
  • Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with AI (Claude preferred), using as stand-alone solution and as integrated solution with Office suite apps to increase efficiency
  • Someone who has no issue with being in the details and getting their hands dirty, but can also manage a team
  • Strong critical thinking skills, and ability to improve processes and procedures for increased efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Manage the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems including to prepare the monthly, quarterly and annually closing process and ensure accuracy of financial records including account payable team, accruals, revenue recognition, payroll journal entries, fixed assets and intangible assets reconciliation.
  • Manage the intercompany reconciliation balances and transactions
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assist the company in management of its bank accounts and cashflow
  • Assist in accelerating the company's monthly and quarterly financial closing process
  • Support project analysis, and ad-hoc requests
  • Support in preparation of the company's annual statutory reports
  • Coordinate the preparation of the company's annual tax reports
  • Lead audit activites
  • Lead SOX implementation process and ensure testing results are properly managed and documented
  • Manage tax filings (sales tax, Canada GST/HST tax)
  • Work with FP&A
  • Lead AP activities, including inventory
  • Lead payroll / benefits with HR
  • Be point of escalation for Customers, as needed
  • Support ERP transition for North America
