About The Position

A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is seeking an experienced Controller to take ownership of its accounting function and support the company's growth. This is a hands-on role combining leadership, problem-solving, and execution, with direct access to company leadership and an opportunity to influence the financial side of a growing company. The position is based in Canton, Ohio, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home.

Requirements

At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
Strong Excel and accounting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently and take ownership.
Comfort working as the primary internal accounting professional.
Strong communication skills.
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

Public accounting or CPA firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the company's day-to-day accounting operations.
Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
Complete the month-end close and financial reporting process.
Support cash management, budgeting, and financial planning.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency.
Provide accurate financial information and insight to leadership.
Take ownership of accounting projects and initiatives.
