About The Position

A Quality Facility Services (AQFS) is seeking an experienced Controller/Senior Accountant to take ownership of the company’s accounting function and support its continued growth. This is a hands-on role combining leadership, problem-solving, and execution, with direct access to company leadership and the opportunity to help shape the financial side of a growing company. The position is based in Canton, Ohio, and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working from home. Compensation is $120,000–$140,000 per year, consisting of base pay and incentives.

Requirements

At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
Strong Excel and accounting skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently and take ownership.
Comfort with being the primary internal accounting professional.
Strong communication skills.
Curiosity, accountability, proactivity, and enthusiasm for helping a growing company advance.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
Public accounting or CPA firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the company’s day-to-day accounting operations.
Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, the general ledger, and reconciliations.
Complete the month-end close and financial reporting process.
Support cash management, budgeting, and financial planning.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiency.
Provide leadership with accurate financial information and insight.
Take ownership of accounting projects and initiatives.
