This role involves generating technical solutions for automotive controller integration, including specifying requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development, and testing for current, new, and major programs. The engineer will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or application component, participate in interviews, and verify controller functionality on both bench and vehicle setups. Key responsibilities include working with Technical Review Boards and cross-functional teams to define and execute test cases, automating system-level tests for regression, and troubleshooting vehicle-level integration issues spanning hardware, software, calibration, and wiring. The position requires documenting hardware and software anomalies using tools like Rational Team Concert (RTC), confirming their resolution, and supporting algorithm requirement development through technical reviews. Additionally, the role involves documenting algorithm functional and verification requirements, developing and reviewing I/O functional requirements and test cases, and participating in work product reviews. Support is also required for calibration teams, development trips, plant and field problem resolution, prototype shop support, and fleet support. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to a local office.
