This role involves coordinating and planning work activities for Control Systems Techs/Leads to achieve the goals of North America Customer Fulfillment teams. The position requires close collaboration with various departments such as building Operations, Operations Engineering, FC Start up Team, AFT Software teams, ACES team, and WHS Safety to optimize material handling equipment (MHE) systems and implement projects. The engineer will act as a technical consultant for capital projects within the warehouse, and will be responsible for understanding, maintaining, and troubleshooting material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks. They will also monitor MHE performance, analyze system issues, and provide first-level escalation support for control systems issues, both during and after business hours. Project management of large-scale initiatives, facilitating failure analysis and incident reviews, and applying subject matter expertise in material handling and electronic systems are key aspects of this role. Additionally, the position involves programming and source coding for in-house solutions, developing automation system solutions, communicating technical issues and project timelines, and assisting with skill assessments and mentoring for technical positions.
