Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Less than three years of relevant professional experience
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles and control systems
  • Exposure to or ability to learn SCADA/EMS systems, PLCs, and RTUs
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Linux/Unix environments and scripting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and under supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with control systems, SCADA/EMS environments, or industrial systems is beneficial, but not required.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and operation of control systems across system dispatch and generation facilities.
  • Work with SCADA/EMS systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and remote terminal units (RTUs), helping ensure reliable and secure system performance.
  • Assist with developing, modifying, and maintaining control system applications.
  • Support real-time system monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers, dispatchers, electricians, and other stakeholders to support system operations, testing, and data collection.
  • Contribute to system reporting and forecasting by ensuring data accuracy and reliability within system databases and historians.
  • Gain hands-on experience and developing the technical skills needed to support critical infrastructure systems.
