Control Systems Engineer I
About The Position
Precision Pumping Systems (PPS) is a local, family-owned manufacturing business established in 1972. To support its continued growth and meet production demands for its popular turn-key pump stations, PPS is seeking talented individuals to join its control systems engineering team. The Control Systems Engineer 1 is a self-directed and collaborative role responsible for creating electrical documents, schematics, and layouts for products, as well as checking panel parts for submittals. This position adheres to standard work methods and promotes safe work habits to ensure high-quality products for customers.
Requirements
- Ability to legally work in the US.
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
- Ability to complete a criminal background screening.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with power tools.
- Experience manipulating tools, wires, and components.
- Ability to work outdoors on pump stations and panels.
- Willingness to travel for startups and/or technical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Design and verify quotes, schematics, and panel layouts to meet customer specifications.
- Work closely with CAD Specialist, Service, Sales, and Manufacturing teams to meet customer requirements and continually improve as per company quality standards.
- Innovate and create new cutting-edge products for PPS.
- Initiate process improvement to improve processes, improve quality, and reduce cost.
- Cross-train and learn other functions as needed.
- Organize and keep their area clean.
