The Control Room Supervisor functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s). This role ensures that all post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, and required reports are filed. The supervisor notifies proper authorities and clients in emergency situations. They also coach and discipline personnel as appropriate, seeking advice from company management when necessary, and documenting all actions. Training of Security Officers and other company personnel is a key responsibility, including reviewing post orders and assignment details. The supervisor assists in submitting payroll and personnel information and ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions in conjunction with company management. They prepare, file, and submit various reports, inspect posts as scheduled, and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities. Client interaction is also important, involving meetings to assure security requirements are met and to provide quality customer service. As assigned, the supervisor carries out duties such as interviewing, orienting, training, planning, assigning, directing work, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and making hiring and termination recommendations. The role may also involve performing the duties of a Security Officer.
