About The Position

Reporting to the Site Terminal Manager of the location, the main responsibilities of the role are: Control Room Activities: Always maintain physical presence in control room when production is occuring; Utilize checklists to start, monitor, and stop the automated production system; Communicate and direct site team to meet production expectations for each shift; Monitor and troubleshoot process equipment to ensure all parameters are operating within stipulated guidelines: Ø Ensure all conveyors are tracked and performing at optimum capacity; Ø Ensure raw material conveyance system is clear and unimpeded to mitigate against unplanned production interruptions; Ø Monitor overall system performance including scale calibrations; Ø Monitor and interpret computerized/process data; Ø Regularly inspect mixers, table feeders, and scale hoppers to ensure adequate function. Maintain and record production data including raw material usage; Maintain accurate chemical and consumable inventory records and report usage trends; Inspect MCC room and validate electrical and instrumentation requirements to ensure compliance within acceptable limits; Share critical information regarding quality with QA/QC department; From time to time assist the floor operators to load and unload railcars and trucks/railcars of bulk chemical materials. Quality Control Activities: Utilize DMS reporting tools to report chemical ratios to QA/QC department to ensure quality conformance; Assist QA/QC department in sample collection as required. Other duties: Interact and participate in decisions with maintenance members for the proper functioning of the production processes; Perform all other related tasks to ensure the smooth running of operations; Operate a wheel loader and forklift as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in control room operations

  • Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime to ensure production targets are met

  • You are in good physical condition and can work at heights
  • You can lift or carry loads of up to 30 pounds
