About The Position
Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. This role requires the ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure situations, with general/basic computer knowledge and skills as the SOC is a computer-heavy position. Requirements
- Dispatch experience required.
- Must be able to sit and stand.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in high-pressure situations.
- General/basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Must have excellent Customer Service skills.
- Must pass drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.
- Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior patrols.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Provide escorts.
- Perform door unlocks.
- Walk an average of 5-7 miles per shift.
- Maintain and secure log books and other security property.
- Dispatch guards and resources.
- Manage emergencies.
- Utilize proper call lists.
- Monitor cameras and alarms.
- Take proper actions for alarms.
- Lock and unlock doors via security systems.
- Fill out reports and work orders.
- Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
- Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
