About The Position

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. This role requires the ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure situations, with general/basic computer knowledge and skills as the SOC is a computer-heavy position. Requirements

  • Dispatch experience required.
  • Must be able to sit and stand.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in high-pressure situations.
  • General/basic computer knowledge and skills required.
  • Must have excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Must pass drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard.
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior and exterior patrols.
  • Respond to emergencies.
  • Provide escorts.
  • Perform door unlocks.
  • Walk an average of 5-7 miles per shift.
  • Maintain and secure log books and other security property.
  • Dispatch guards and resources.
  • Manage emergencies.
  • Utilize proper call lists.
  • Monitor cameras and alarms.
  • Take proper actions for alarms.
  • Lock and unlock doors via security systems.
  • Fill out reports and work orders.
  • Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
  • Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
