About The Position

ACE Controls is seeking an experienced Control Panel Wireman to join our Humble, TX team. In this position you will build, wire, test, and troubleshoot industrial control panels for automation and process control applications. Working from electrical schematics and engineering drawings, you will assemble high-quality control panels used in water and wastewater, food and beverage, and manufacturing environments.

You will work with industrial control components including relays, terminal blocks, circuit protection devices, power distribution equipment, and other electrical control systems. Your work plays a critical role in delivering reliable automation solutions that help customers operate safely, efficiently, and consistently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or electrical certifications preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience building, wiring, or troubleshooting industrial control panels.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, industrial control systems, and control panel construction.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with electrical hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices, codes, and industry standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and modify industrial control panels according to engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
• Install and terminate relays, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, fuses, power supplies, and other electrical components.
• Perform panel testing, verification, and troubleshooting to confirm proper operation.
• Diagnose and repair wiring, control system, and electrical component issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and team members to meet project schedules.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance panel build quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Adhere to company safety standards and electrical best practices.
• Maintain organized workspaces and accurate project documentation.
