About The Position

The Control Panel Operator operates control panels for automatic machines and related equipment to complete incineration processes. The role monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and other controls to ensure operations follow process specifications and facility guidelines. The operator also monitors plant operations, manages inventory controls, records waste-stream and profile information, and reports equipment issues. The position prioritizes health and safety and supports the team with additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of related industrial experience.

Nice To Haves

Associate or technical degree.
High-Pressure Boiler Operator’s License for the state of operation.
Previous control panel operator experience.

Responsibilities

Prioritize health and safety by following policies and processes and maintaining safe practices.
Observe and operate the facility incinerator control panel.
Verify equipment data for reporting and support installation of operating equipment.
Report malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor equipment adjustments or repairs as needed.
Communicate with equipment technicians about highly complex equipment issues requiring repair.
Operate, test, and monitor assigned equipment according to facility guidelines.
Troubleshoot control panels, error lights, and messages; conduct alarm testing and monitoring.
Manage building inventory controls within appropriate parameters.
Manage rotary kiln operation and monitor plant operations via CCTV.
Operate equipment to complete drum feeds and conduct relevant inspections.
Monitor and analyze equipment temperatures, pressures, and ratios, adjusting them as needed.
Complete waste-stream and profile recordkeeping as needed.
Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
