About The Position

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Control Manager to drive HR/EX Control Management and Policy Strategies. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to the Head of HR/EX Control Management and Policy, providing support and recommendations. The Control Manager will lead transformational control and policy-focused projects across all HR/EX segments, functions, and horizontals, identifying cross-overs and coordinating efficiencies. They will also enhance team operations by collaborating with senior leadership on strategy, priorities, open roles, business case development, OKRs, and governance. Additionally, the role requires creating impactful reports and presentations for senior management, including contributing to Business Reviews and Control Committee inputs. The Control Manager will serve as the HR Business Control Committee secretary, maintaining its charter, procedures, agendas, notes, follow-ups, and assessments. This position will also help senior management tackle organizational challenges by connecting key activities and priorities and will organize leadership meetings and events, handling agendas, documents, and follow-ups.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in Controls, Policy, Business Management, Finance, Strategy, COO, Operations, or Project Management at a financial firm, tech company, or consultancy.
  • Highly motivated with exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in defining business and use cases, crafting multi-year roadmaps, and driving disciplined execution.
  • Confident in presenting to senior executives and skilled at handling confidential information.
  • Skilled with data analysis and visualization tools like Alteryx and Tableau, and proactive and curious on learning new technologies.
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to work independently and virtually, ensuring follow-through.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a logical thought process.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Drive HR/EX Control Management and Policy Strategies: act as a trusted advisor to the Head of HR/EX Control Management and Policy, providing support and recommendations.
  • Lead Transformational Control and Policy Focused Projects: drive initiatives and transformation across Controls and Policy teams covering all HR/EX segments, functions and horizontals; identify cross overs and coordinate efficiencies.
  • Enhance Team Operations: collaborate with senior leadership on strategy, priorities, open roles, business case development, OKRs, and governance.
  • Insights and Reporting: create impactful reports and presentations for senior management including contributing to Business Reviews, Control Committee inputs, and other regular reports, ensuring they are accurate and timely.
  • Business Control Committee (BCC): service as HR Business Control Committee secretary, maintaining the BCC charter, procedures, agendas, notes, follow ups and assessments
  • Problem Solving: help senior management tackle organizational challenges by connecting key activities and priorities.
  • Organize Leadership Events: coordinate leadership meetings and events, handling agendas, documents, and follow-ups.
