Energy storage is the key to unlocking a future where our world is powered by renewable resources. At Convergent Energy and Power, our mission is to make the electrical grid cleaner, more reliable, and less expensive by leveraging state-of-the-art energy storage and distributed generation technologies. The Control Center Operator I plays a critical role in the daily monitoring and operations of Convergent’s fleet of energy storage and solar assets. They will create and update trouble tickets to track equipment issues, escalate issues to the appropriate party, work with field technicians to perform corrective and preventive maintenance, and perform other tasks as directed by Control Center Operators II-III. They have, or are able to quickly obtain, a foundational understanding of the components of a power plant, energy dispatch strategies, vigilant monitoring practices, and alarm response actions. They will also become familiar with all Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and be able to act as the initial responder and escalation point during an emergency. This is an individual contributor role and therefore does not have any direct reports.
