About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Control Automation Engineer II to support and optimize our semiconductor manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving control systems, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience supporting control systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, SLC 500, CompactLogix).
  • Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems such as iFIX, FactoryTalk View ME, or Ignition.
  • Basic understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, LAN).
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to data historians (e.g., Proficy Historian) and reporting tools like SSRS is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate plant equipment and control systems in accordance with established standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and equipment issues, partnering closely with engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Support plant quality and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and repair complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment independently.
  • Troubleshoot and support advanced electrical control systems, including PLC and DCS systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of engineering changes, new tools, and processes, including supporting training efforts.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and maintenance records.
  • Manage and execute preventative maintenance programs in alignment with ISO standards; monitor and report KPIs.
  • Perform wiring, networking, and system configuration tasks within an industrial environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Follow all safety policies and proactively report any unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Support additional tasks and projects as needed.
