About The Position

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Contracts Specialist is responsible for coordinating the contract process for professional and general services provided by external contractors. Contracts Specialist support the Manager of Contracts in responding to contract requests, drafting contract provisions, negotiating, and executing contracts, and management of contract records. This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of Alaska Native people affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area.
• Compliance with Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment.
• Agreement to comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to the first day of employment.
• For Health Care Personnel (HCP) positions, documentation of completed immunizations prior to the first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years of contract administration experience; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Contracts Specialist I at SCF.
