About The Position

The University of Mary Washington has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Contracts & Resourcing Manager. In this role, you will provide support, coordination, and direction regarding capital outlay, maintenance reserve, and non-capital construction project procurement, records management, reporting, and records retention for the University. Provide coordination and manage assigned departmental processes and responsibilities. The State and Local Government Conflict of Interests Act requires specific officers and employees of the Commonwealth of Virginia to file written disclosure statements, Statement of Economic Interests (SOEI), of their financial interests annually. This position has been designated as a covered position and the selected candidate will be required to file the SOEI disclosure by the first day of employment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in administrative and financial responsibility in a large organization and/or government agency.
  • Substantial knowledge, skill and ability in facilities related recordkeeping including public procurement practices.
  • Ability to perform high level administrative support in a higher education environment.
  • Significant computer expertise with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe products, website publishing, electronic procurement systems and/or other automated office tools.
  • Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge regarding public procurement best practices and the DGS central electronic procurement website.
  • Experience in Facilities and Capital Outlay Administration and/or public sector procurement in a higher education or government agency environment.
