Contracts Manager

FluidstackAustin, TX
$150,000 - $175,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Contracts Manager to join their team. The company's mission is to make humanity more free by building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI. They are focused on delivering large amounts of compute power faster than anyone else, by rethinking every layer of the stack, including acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them. Fluidstack hires people who care deeply about this problem space and operate with extreme ownership, velocity, first principles, and a passion for the mission. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating standard commercial contracts such as procurement contracts, technology licenses, NDAs, and service agreements. The Contracts Manager will own their contract queue from intake to signature, ensuring timely turnaround times. A key part of the role is to build scalable machinery, including templates, playbooks, and AI-assisted review processes, to handle growing contract volumes efficiently. The position requires collaboration across legal, finance, and procurement departments to ensure terms, approvals, and obligations are managed effectively post-signature.

Requirements

  • Have drafted and negotiated a broad range of standard commercial contracts and closed them yourself.
  • Ability to read a contract fast and catch the term that matters, and explain why in one sentence.
  • Experience using AI seriously for contract review, analysis, or research.
  • Experience building or improving templates and playbooks that made a contracting process faster.
  • Ability to carry a heavy deal load without dropping deadlines or quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data center or infrastructure contracts.
  • Depth in technology licensing and procurement.
  • Experience with compliance framework implementation.
  • Paralegal or law degree background.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate standard commercial paper the company runs on: procurement contracts, technology licenses, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Own your contract queue end to end: intake to signature, with turnaround times the business can plan around.
  • Build the scalable machinery: templates, playbooks, and AI-assisted review that let contract volume grow without the queue growing with it.
  • Work across legal, finance, and procurement so terms, approvals, and obligations stay connected after signature.

Benefits

  • Commitment to pay equity and transparency.
  • Equal Employment Opportunity Employer status.
