About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Contracts Manager in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an on-site opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters with some flexibility. The role is responsible for cradle to grave contract administration of Federal Government contracts, Commercial contracts, Product Based Contracts and OTAs and other Non-FAR based contracts. The Contracts Manager will participate in proposal preparation, including review of request for proposal (RFP) requirements, pricing strategies and full cost volume. This role is responsible for drafting, negotiating, and executing agreements. The Contracts Manager will monitor contract performance for conformance to original proposals, compliance with legal requirements, customer specifications and Government regulations. Additionally, the role involves preparing and disseminating information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, and contract closeout. The Contracts Manager will coordinate with corporate and line departments and customer representatives on a routine basis and must have the ability to organize and compile data for reporting and analytical purposes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, and minimum of 4 years of prior experience in Federal Government Contracting or related field. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of equivalent related experience is required in Federal Government Contracting or related field.
  • Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) type contracts.
  • Experience with Subcontract Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosures and Reseller Agreements.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and how it pertains to contracts.
  • Ability to identify risks and issues to Senior Management; suggests alternatives or process improvements.
  • Ability to analyze trends and interprets contract data.
  • Strong knowledge and use of all Microsoft Office Suite products, specifically Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills; must be able to pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and make timely and sound decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Product Contracts and Product Pricing Experience, preferred.
  • Proposal Development and Pricing experience, preferred.
  • Experience with RFQs, RFPs, Delivery Orders, Modifications, Cost/Price analysis, preferred.
  • Experience in using Deltek Costpoint software preferred, specifically in the CRM & Contracts Module, preferred.
  • OTAs and other Non-FAR based Contracts and Pricing Experience, preferred.
