About The Position

Under the direction of a Project Manager, the Floater Custodian performs routine cleaning at LifeROOTS contract locations. This position travels between assigned locations as needed to provide coverage.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have own vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to self or others.
• The work is non-sedentary, requiring walking, frequent bending, lifting and carrying 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning glass and drinking fountains, removing trash, and restocking restrooms.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and urinals.
• Use custodial equipment, including vacuums, mops, and floor care machines, as assigned.
• Move furniture as needed to complete assigned cleaning tasks.
• Report safety, sanitation, and fire hazards to the Project Manager.
• Follow assigned schedules, cleaning procedures, and LifeROOTS safety policies.
• Participate in applicable quality improvement and health and safety activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
