Contracts Administrator

SewerAI CorporationWalnut Creek, CA
$85,000 - $85,000Remote

About The Position

SewerAI is transforming underground infrastructure management through AI-powered inspection and risk analysis. Our platform helps contractors, engineering firms, and utilities unlock valuable insights from sewer inspection data—turning hours of manual video review into actionable intelligence in minutes. After doubling our customer base over the past year, we’re now entering an exciting phase of accelerated growth. We’re looking for a Contracts Administrator who has been around the block, someone who has touched every part of the contract lifecycle, knows the difference between a redline that matters and one that doesn’t, and isn’t easily rattled by an 80–100 bid year. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, and Legal/Compliance. You’ll own the structure, execution, and governance of our customer and vendor agreements while simultaneously keeping bid submissions on track and the deal desk moving. It’s detail-heavy, deadline-driven, and occasionally involves tracking down a notary stamp at the worst possible moment. But it’s also genuinely important: every contract we execute cleanly is revenue we protect, and every bid we submit on time is an opportunity we don’t leave on the table.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in contract administration, deal desk, legal operations, or a related field
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company environment familiarity with subscription and/or usage-based business models preferred
  • Hands-on experience preparing and submitting bid packages and RFP responses; municipal procurement experience is a strong plus
  • Comfortable redlining agreements and managing contract lifecycle end to end
  • Familiarity with government software platforms like OpenGov, Okta, or similar is a bonus
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools
  • Notary certification or willingness to obtain one

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and external counsel to drive agreements to execution
  • Develop and implement standardized contract templates and negotiation guardrails across key terms: liability caps, indemnification, payment terms
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository with proper version control, governance, and a clause library that actually gets used
  • Build scalable processes, playbooks, and tooling for the contracting function as we grow
  • Prepare, assemble, and submit RFP, RFQ, and bid documents for municipal and government opportunities — roughly 80–100 annually
