About The Position

The Contract Administrator administers contracts throughout the contract lifecycle, including intake, review, routing, execution, tracking, compliance monitoring, renewals, and record retention. This role partners with internal stakeholders and external business partners to ensure contracts are accurately maintained, compliant with organizational standards, and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle. This Contract Administrator maintains contract records and reporting, monitors key dates and obligations, supports contract-related communications, and promotes efficient contract management processes. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional stakeholder support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in contract administration, contract coordination, legal support, procurement, or related business operations.
  • Experience supporting contract lifecycle activities, including review, administration, renewals, and amendments.
  • Knowledge of contract administration practices, contract terminology, document control, and basic risk concepts.
  • Experience collaborating with Legal, Procurement, Finance, Compliance, Operations, or other cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract lifecycle management (CLM), document management, or workflow systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, recordkeeping, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing reports, dashboards, and contract metrics preferred.
  • Healthcare, manufacturing, supplier/vendor contracting, paralegal, or legal assistant experience is a plus.
  • Professional certification in contract management, legal studies, procurement, or business administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer contracts through all lifecycle stages, including review, approval, execution, amendment, renewal, and termination.
  • Prepare, route, track, and maintain contracts, amendments, statements of work, NDAs, and related documents.
  • Ensure contract documentation is complete, accurate, and supported by required approvals.
  • Monitor contract milestones, renewals, expirations, and compliance obligations.
  • Coordinate contract reviews, approvals, negotiations, signatures, and execution activities.
  • Conduct preliminary contract reviews and identify deviations from approved templates and standards.
  • Support negotiations by coordinating redlines, feedback, and issue resolution.
  • Identify and escalate contract discrepancies, risks, and compliance concerns.
  • Maintain contract records, reports, and documentation within contract management systems.
  • Track and report contract activity, key deadlines, compliance requirements, and performance metrics.
  • Serve as the primary contact for contract-related inquiries and administrative support.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, document requests, and records retention.
  • Maintain contract templates, procedures, and process documentation.
  • Support reporting, presentations, process improvement initiatives, and special projects.
