About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the site works team by leading contractor pre-qualification. The Contractor Qualification manager will streamline and enforce the qualification process to ensure a capable and reliable site works supply chain for GEV. This role is responsible for engaging contractors and driving the qualification process to timely completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a major construction project environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pre-construction and/or construction qualification
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically & internationally 40% of the time if required.
  • Must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and Canada is required.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Site Works Commodity Manager to establish a list of contractors to be qualified
  • Drive contractor outreach and assistance through the pre-qual process
  • Perform comprehensive review of contractor submissions
  • Schedule informational calls to educate contractors
  • Provide detailed weekly updates to Site Works Commodity Manager
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify priorities and urgent qualifications
  • Lead qualification renewal
  • Coordinate with internal team members on timely reviews
  • Implement improvements to improve current CQM/CW system for increased efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with GE sourcing policies and procedures
  • Perform on-site contractor audits as required
  • Support the contractor ERP onboarding process
