About The Position

This role is responsible for documenting incoming agent contracts and following the appropriate workflow for the contracting process. Key duties include preparing contracts for submission, retrieving missing information from agents, sending contracting links, and processing contracts through carrier portals. The Contracting Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert on agent contracting, assist others with contracting processes, and maintain transparent communication through various channels. The position requires accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks, with communication to leadership regarding any challenges. Providing outstanding customer support and embracing continuous improvement are also essential aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours during peak times.
  • Must be able to pass monthly OIG and SAM Exclusion List checks.

Responsibilities

  • Documenting incoming agent contracts and following the appropriate workflow for the contracting process.
  • Preparing contracts for the submission process (i.e. scrubbing, collecting missing information, etc.)
  • Reaching out to agents to retrieve missing items necessary to complete the onboarding process.
  • Send contracting links in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process contracts through carrier portals.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on agent contracting; assist others as needed with contracting processes.
  • Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular interpersonal communication.
  • Document discussions, messages, and actions taken to process requests.
  • Complete all assigned tasks accurately and in the time frame provided by leadership; communicates with leadership if time frames cannot be met or tasks cannot be completed as assigned; communicates when further training is needed to complete task.
  • Providing outstanding customer support.
  • Embraces change; demonstrates ability to learn, grown, and continuously improve.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
