About The Position

This is a highly critical, fast-paced interim opportunity for an experienced professional to step into the firm’s Business Development Pitch & Proposal team. Covering an initial 8-week leave of absence (with potential for extension), this role acts as a driving force behind the firm's competitive pursuits. You will be responsible for leading the development of compliant, high-caliber RFP and pitch responses that directly win new client business, offering immense visibility across the firm's leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of project and production experience focused on managing RFPs and pitches within a professional services environment (law firm or legal industry experience is highly preferred).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and copy-proofreading skills, with a proven ability to translate complex service offerings into persuasive, client-focused benefits.
  • Strong independent judgment, decision-making capabilities, and a sharp analytical eye for creating custom value propositions that beat out competitors.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously under short, highly pressurized turnarounds.
  • Deep database experience with proposal management systems, knowledge networks, and corporate presentation software.
  • Holds a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related business discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full pitch and proposal lifecycle from kickoff to final submission, ensuring all deliverables are compliant, on-time, and client-centric.
  • Provide expert guidance for complex RFP responses and pitches, directly partnering with attorneys, pricing teams, and firm leadership to optimally position each pursuit.
  • Conduct audience, client need, and market perception analyses to gather critical intelligence that shapes response strategies.
  • Identify, articulate, and embed competitive differentiators, unique win themes, and clear firm-wide value propositions into response materials.
  • Write, edit, and create new client-facing content while performing strict quality control over all outgoing pitches and proposal documentation.
  • Refine, expand, and maintain the central repository of stock languages, proposal databases, and content management systems related to specific practice groups and sectors.
