About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Early Childhood and Family Support Division. The Early Childhood and Family Support Division works with community providers across the state, and is home to many early childhood and family support programs including, but not limited to: child care; serving children with developmental delays; supporting families through nutrition education and support, home visiting, and child abuse prevention efforts. ECFSD strives to assure that children and families are healthy and thriving. The purpose of the Contract/Procurement Specialist is to provide contract and procurement support and customer service to management, staff, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheets, word processing, database, email, internet and other computer programs.
  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Two years of support experience with contracts, and/or related high-level administrative support.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with editing and drafting government contracts and amendments.
  • Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case- by- case basis.
