About The Position

As a Contract Specialist Senior, you will play a critical role in supporting and administering complex contractual agreements while helping protect Gulfstream's business interests. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can independently manage contractual activities, mitigate risk, and collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful contract execution and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the role.
  • Three years of contract administration or customer account administration experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience identifying contractual risks and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience comprehending and drafting real estate leases.
  • Experience abstracting lease clauses and interpreting contractual language.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • 3 years contract administration or customer account administration experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience comprehending and drafting real estate leases preferred
  • Experience abstracting lease clauses

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and aircraft export regulations is preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and administer contractual documents in accordance with established processes and company policies.
  • Support and participate in contract negotiations, serving as a primary point of contact for contractual matters during contract performance.
  • Monitor contract compliance, identify potential risks or issues, and recommend corrective actions to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties, including attorneys, escrow agents, financing companies, and customers, to facilitate successful contract execution.
  • Ensure agreements and related documentation are completed by appropriate personnel and aligned with business objectives and operating schedules.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on contractual requirements, documentation, and processes.
  • Develop and implement improvements to contracting policies, procedures, and best practices to support evolving business requirements.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Contract Coordinators and Contract Specialists through knowledge sharing and skill development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate contractual records, reports, and documentation.
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • In accordance with approved processes and procedures, prepare assigned contractual documents as assigned and/or as requested.
  • In accordance with established guidelines and management direction, support or participate in the negotiation of contractual commitments when assigned and act as a primary point of contact regarding contractual issues during performance of the contract.
  • Maintain continuous surveillance of the contract and anticipate/identify/monitor potential areas of difficulty; recommend corrective actions to be taken to ensure conformance with contract obligations.
  • Ensure that contractual risks identified during contract performance are evaluated, assessed, and approved by the appropriate internal and external personnel.
  • In accordance with established processes and procedures, proactively ensure agreements and related documents are performed by appropriate personnel within the company consistent with established operating schedules and company policies and objectives.
  • Working independently or with a Contract Manager, interact in a timely manner with customers to identify, recommend, and implement solutions for potential contractual issues; provide subject-matter expertise and assistance to prepare documentation and checklists, and coordinate with customers and outside parties (attorneys, escrow agents, and financing companies, for example) as necessary; and ensure customer satisfaction with the contracting process, and contract performance.
  • Proactively assist in developing and implementing new/improving existing policies and practices to address changing internal and external contracting requirements.
  • Promote the growth of Contract Coordinators and Contract Specialists by assisting in training, to include preparation and conduct of skill development training information and/or materials.
  • Maintain accurate computer generated records and maintain various other reports as required.
  • Share technical knowledge and experience with other employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to identify potential areas of administration conflict and recommend course of action.
