About The Position

OCT Consulting is seeking a Contract Specialist I (Mid-Level) to support a federal client. This role involves specialization in contract close-out activities and supporting an acquisition office within the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102. The ideal candidate will have expertise in closing various contract types and experience with the preparation of expired contracts for archiving or destruction. This is a hybrid role with a salary range of $75,000-$86,000 yearly.

Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of federal contract closeout experience
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Must have experience with the preparation of expired contracts for archiving or destruction
• Must have experience with closing both simple and complex contract types (i.e., FFP, LH, Cost-types)
• Must be able to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance.
• The investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check
• Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting an acquisition office in the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102 is preferred.
• Current or previous work with the Department of Justice (DOJ) is preferred
• Acquisition certification is highly preferred (i.e., FAC-C, DAWIA certification; Industry Certification (ICCM-D, ICCM-F), NCMA certifications will also be considered)

Responsibilities

• Specialization in close-out activities.
• Supporting an acquisition office in the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102.
• Closing firm-fixed, time and material, labor hour, or any variant to include hybrid contracts.
• Preparation of expired contracts for archiving or destruction.
• Closing both simple and complex contract types (i.e., FFP, LH, Cost-types).
