About The Position

WestEd is looking for a full service contract recruiter for a temporary, remote position expected to last 4-6 months. The company is experiencing a significant increase in open positions and requires a recruiter to manage the hiring process. This role will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager within the Human Resources team. The recruiter will be responsible for meeting with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting telephone interviews, posting positions to various job boards, researching new recruiting sources, and scheduling interviews. While internal staff will assist with scheduling, the recruiter will manage the overall scheduling effort to ensure timely candidate reviews. The recruiter will also act as a "hiring coach" for managers and work with the Talent Acquisition Manager on offers and negotiations. The position is remote, with an anticipated average of at least 40 hours per week. Minimum availability is required during core business hours (Pacific) of 10 am - 3 pm, with flexibility on either side to accommodate a full 40-hour workweek. Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on recruitment experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience recruiting positions in a wide range of subject matter areas.
  • Experience in the education, federal, or state disciplines or related field is required.
  • 5+ years' experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., UltiPro/UKG or comparable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office / Outlook applications.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check and education verification.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with hiring managers to assess hiring needs.
  • Post job openings in the applicant tracking system.
  • Screen resumes and conduct telephone interviews to pre-screen potential fit.
  • Post positions to other appropriate internet job boards – Indeed, LinkedIn, professional organizations, and industry specialty job sites that can reach unique candidates.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Schedule interviews for hiring managers.
  • Manage the scheduling effort to make sure candidates are reviewed timely.
  • Act as a "hiring coach" for the managers.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager on offers and any offer negotiations.

Benefits

  • The anticipated hourly pay for this role is between $60-$70 hourly.
