About The Position

Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is partnering with a valued client to identify a dedicated Contract Outpatient Therapist who is passionate about providing high-quality behavioral health services through a flexible remote work environment. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed mental health professional who enjoys delivering client-centered care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and helping individuals achieve meaningful progress through evidence-based treatment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
  • Active North Carolina licensure as one of the following: LCSW or LCSWA, LCMHC or LCMHC-A, LCAS or LCAS-A.
  • Preferred minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health or substance use treatment.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Experience utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) for documentation and compliance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and manage an independent caseload.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must maintain active North Carolina professional licensure throughout employment.

  • Experience providing telehealth behavioral health services.
  • Experience working with diverse populations across outpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and interdisciplinary care coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic and clinical assessments to determine client needs and medical necessity.
  • Evaluate client urgency, complexity, strengths, risks, and available support systems to inform treatment planning.
  • Provide outpatient therapy services through telehealth and, when applicable, in-person sessions.
  • Review and evaluate referrals for eligibility and make admission recommendations in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage an assigned caseload while maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director to support care coordination, resource allocation, and treatment planning.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, ethical standards, licensing requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations.
