About The Position

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking a Contract Monitoring Compliance Officer. This role is crucial for implementing and overseeing the department's standardized Contract Monitoring Program, ensuring compliance with policy 13.5. The position acts as a departmental staff authority in contract monitoring compliance, providing technical assistance, conducting compliance reviews, and developing guidance materials. Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in contract monitoring, audits, program evaluation, or contract development.
  • OR A combination of related education in contract management, business administration, public administration, or a closely-related field and/or relevant experience in contract monitoring, audits, program evaluation, or contract development equal to seven (7) years.
  • Experience must be substantiated within the Work Experience section of your application.
  • Residency Requirement: Must be a resident of the State of Colorado at the time of application.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations, including Office of Management and Budget circulars.
  • Experience in project or program management.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee a department-wide, standardized process for risk-based contract monitoring.
  • Act as a Departmental staff authority in the area of contract monitoring compliance.
  • Provide technical assistance in the development of contract monitoring plans in conjunction with appropriate department staff.
  • Provide direction to programs regarding contractor performance and determining the appropriate escalation for non-compliance.
  • Conduct compliance reviews to ensure the program is adhered to by division monitoring staff.
  • Assess need, determine necessary support, and produce guidance materials that align with monitoring standards.
