About The Position

The Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking a highly qualified Contract Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of contractual agreements within the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency. This includes drafting, coordinating, executing, and monitoring contracts to ensure the effective and compliant use of state and federal funds. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Responsibilities also include providing expert-level contract support to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining alignment with all applicable laws and regulations, and exercising sound judgment in contract or procurement-related decisions. Requirements

  • At least one year of contract management, contract administration, or purchasing experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Candidate will be required to work in the office.
  • Candidate must complete their People First Candidate Profile (application) in its entirety.
  • Must include supervisor names and phone numbers for all periods of employment.
  • Must account for and explain any gaps in employment.
  • Experience, education, training, knowledge, skills and/or abilities as well as responses to pre-qualifying questions must be verifiable to meet the minimum qualifications.
  • Only US citizens and lawfully authorized alien workers will be hired.
  • All selected male candidates born on or after October 1, 1962, must be registered with the Selective Service System (SSS).
  • Must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check.
  • Must be screened in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, F.S., and, if applicable, Chapter 408, F.S.
  • Must pass a Benefit Recovery check before completing the hiring process.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Florida Certified Contract Manager Certification (FCCM).

Responsibilities

  • May be required on short notice to perform duties and travel in support of disaster relief.
