About The Position

The City of Oxnard’s Public Works Administration Division is hiring an Extra-Help Contract Management Analyst to support public project procurement. Under direction, this position performs technical and complex solicitation work, including independently developing solicitation documents and construction contract agreements, posting solicitations, attending pre-bid meetings, and performing related duties. The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, customer service, writing, and the ability to research and prepare complex solicitation materials independently under tight deadlines. The position receives general supervision. Incumbents are expected to prioritize work, meet deadlines, keep the supervisor informed of issues that could affect deadlines or create policy, procedural, or risk-management concerns, and seek specific instructions for non-routine matters. Incumbents may also serve as lead workers by assigning work and monitoring its completion. This is an at-will, temporary Extra-Help position. Extra-Help positions are not expected to last more than 960 hours, and the position is not eligible for City benefits because of its short duration. The City does not offer hybrid or remote work. The position is not eligible for overtime pay.
