About The Position

Turing is seeking experts in Contract Law and Commercial Transactions for projects focused on fine-tuning AI models like ChatGPT. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in contract drafting, UCC transactions, breach of contract analysis, and commercial dispute resolution to assess how AI reasons about contractual obligations. This is an opportunity to analyze force majeure clauses, conditions precedent, and remedies for breach, utilizing your background in U.S. contract law. No prior AI experience is necessary.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school; Bar admission (active/inactive).
3+ years of U.S. legal practice in contract law, commercial transactions, or commercial litigation.
Strong reasoning skills across common law contracts, UCC, and commercial agreements.
Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
High ethical standards.

Interest in AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to U.S. contract law hypotheticals, including formation issues, breach analysis, UCC Article 2 sale-of-goods disputes, and damages calculations.
Apply a structured legal rubric to assess issue spotting, accuracy of common law and UCC principles, and proper application of contract interpretation doctrines.
Identify gaps in AI reasoning around consideration, conditions, anticipatory repudiation, liquidated damages, and third-party beneficiary rights.
Provide detailed, high-quality annotations and written feedback to refine AI models.
Collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals.
