About The Position

This position is responsible for light routine to heavy labor in construction, maintenance, and repairs throughout multiple facilities. The role involves operating equipment, assisting in grounds maintenance such as mowing, raking, edging, trash pickup, litter control, restroom cleaning, and maintaining picnic shelters, tables, observation piers, barbecue grills, parking lots, athletic fields, and general grounds work on a golf course. The employee may be required to operate a motor vehicle and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license upon hire.
• Must obtain a valid Florida driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire or promotion.
• Individuals assigned to this classification must report to work per their assigned schedule.
• Parks and Recreation staff must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
