About The Position

Ovintiv is seeking an EH&S Data Analyst for a 6-month contract. In this term role, the successful candidate will play an important role in keeping EH&S data accurate, accessible, and useful- helping drive informed decisions, support regulatory confidence, and improve safety and environmental performance over time.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical experience in data management and reporting
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety principles
  • Experience with data governance and reporting systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint preferred), PowerBi, and Qlik
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate data into insights
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required, ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and company wide EH&S performance reporting
  • Analyze performance indicators to validate data integrity and support decision-making
  • Partner with Finance and Air Emissions teams to ensure alignment across reporting streams
  • Support external reporting requirements including sustainability disclosures and benchmarking
  • Ensure reporting aligns with regulatory expectations and internal protocols
  • Collaborate with EH&S teams and external stakeholders to ensure data consistency
  • Manage EH&S documentation within the Operational Management System (OMS)
  • Drive governance processes for document lifecycle management
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards and reporting tools for incident management
  • Ensure data governance, validation, and consistency within reporting systems
  • Support system enhancements and provide training to users
  • Manage EH&S SharePoint platform to optimize accessibility and user experience
  • Oversee data retention in alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Records Management and Legal on information governance
  • Manage safety training tracking and provide reporting as needed
