About The Position

To sustain the organization’s scaling efforts, the Powerful Learning Team is building a talent pipeline as we strive to engage 30 million learners in powerful learning experiences. We are recruiting mid-level to senior-level specialized experts to fill part-time and/or term-limited positions. This opportunity is ideal for independent contractors who wish to gain experience and exposure within Digital Promise. Candidates must be available during standard business hours.

Requirements

Strong analytical mindset
Excellent R programming skills
Expertise in data visualization platforms like R Shiny, Tableau, or Qualtrics
7 years of experience
Passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights to drive decision-making within the organization
Engages with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver timely insights

An interest in redesigning learning systems to better serve those who are historically and systemically excluded

Responsibilities

Conducts exploratory data analysis, wrangles data using R, and develops visually impactful interactive dashboards using Posit, Tableau, or Grafana.
Translates analytical findings into clear, concise insights for non-technical stakeholders, provides data-driven recommendations to leadership teams, and collaborates with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define dashboard requirements and ensure visualizations accurately reflect strategic priorities.
Ensures the accuracy of visualizations through rigorous testing, documents data methodologies, and creates user guides for interactive reports.
Leverages Qualtrics for survey design and integrates this data with other datasets to enhance overall analytical capabilities.
Designs and implements data ingestion pipelines to collect and consolidate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and flat files; cleans and preprocesses raw datasets by handling missing values, removing duplicates, and resolving inconsistencies; and applies transformation techniques to normalize, aggregate, and reshape data into formats suitable for analysis and reporting.
Builds, maintains, and iterates on Grafana dashboards to provide real-time and historical visibility into key organizational metrics; configures data source connections; and writes performant queries to support dynamic, interactive visualizations.
Monitors pipeline health and dashboard performance, troubleshooting data quality or latency issues as they arise.
