About The Position

The Contract Coordinator is responsible for managing the home sale contract process from contract execution through closing. This position serves as a key point of coordination between DSLD, lenders, title companies, and other involved parties to ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with DSLD requirements. The Contract Coordinator monitors the status of each transaction, proactively communicates with internal and external parties, and works to ensure homes close accurately and timely. This position also tracks closing activity and provides regular reporting to management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in contract administration, real estate, closing, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of business practices, financial concepts, contracts, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a substantial and diverse workload while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external business partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Residency in one of the following states is a requirement for the position: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the home sale transaction process from contract execution through closing.
  • Review contracts, amendments, and closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with DSLD requirements, legal requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with lenders, title companies, buyers, and internal departments to ensure all parties have the information and documentation necessary to complete the closing process.
  • Monitor the status of homes and loan processes, when applicable, and proactively follow up on outstanding items to support timely closings.
  • Identify potential delays or issues and communicate them to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Process contract cancellations, including the coordination and processing of refunds when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pending home sales and transaction status.
  • Maintain contract information, supporting documentation, and organized transaction files.
  • Ensure all transaction records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company requirements.
  • Track closing activity and prepare reports and updates for management.
  • Provide administrative support for the department, including processing and coordinating department documents.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
